	FamilySearch.org
	This free site is constantly being updated. It currently has the 1850-1900 census available, with the 1920 census under construction. No images for the 1880 census. The site also currently has some state census records from these states: Florida, (1885, 1935, 1945), Massachussetts, New York, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Microfilms of county records are currently being digitized and records are being added on a regular basis, so this should not be considered a complete list of their assets.

	A subscription site, but free to patrons at most county and state libraries and most Family History Centers. Has Federal census records 1790-1930 and many state census records, including Florida for 1885, 1935, and 1945.
	Genealogy.com
	A subscription site. Has Federal census records 1790-1930, Passenger Lists, Genealogy Libray, Local histories, and more.
	GenForum
	A Genealogy.com site that provides a variety of bulletin boards (Surnames, U.S. States, Countries, Immigration, Wars, and others) where you may post inquiries and/or review other researchers' posts.
	Google Books
	A searchable database of books, including genealogies, local histories, records, etc.
	Heritage Quest Online
	This resource can only be accessed through a library - but many libraries have subscribed to the Heritage Quest Online collection and offer it as a free resource for their members. Has Federal census records 1790-1930. Check out your local library.
	rootsweb
	This is the home page of a huge free collection of databases, family trees, mailing lists, message boards, and websites. Excellent site.
	The Internet Archive
	They describe themselves as "A digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form." A search of the Texts sections finds genealogies, local histories, published records sources and many other valuable genealogical documents. Like a paper library, access is free to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.
	USGenWeb Archives
	Provides access to a wide range of free volunteer created genealogy websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States.

	FLAfrican-American Roots Project
	Original material including but not limited to, cemetery transcriptions, family history narratives, photographs, documents and ephemera that is related to Florida's African-American People and their history.

	Florida Confederate Pension Files
	Provided by Florida State Archives, this database has digital images of approved and denied pension claims from 1885 to 1954. Typical files contain the original application, any supplemental applications, proof of service and residency, etc.
	Florida Militia Muster Rolls, Seminole Wars

	Cemetery Junction
	A massive searchable index of cemeteries, in which cemeteries are listed alphabetically by state. The index also allows you to any other state from any page. Cemeteries that have been transcribed outside of Cemetery Junction often have links to transcriptions entered by volunteers not affiliated with Cemetery Junction.
	Daily Obituary Times
	The Obituary Daily Times is a daily index of published obituaries. It is free and is searchable. If you choose, you can subscribe to have entries sent to you daily,ten twice a day by emai - the index averages over 2500 entries a day. You can search the indexes' database.
	Find A Grave.com
	This free site is primarily volunteer fed and claims to have registered more than 43 million graves. You can search using a variety of criteria. The information available depends largely on the volunteers providing the information and ranges from tombstone transcription to photographs of all stones in a given cemetery.
	Funeral Homes Online
	Provides a comprehensive list of funeral homes, with contact information, by state and then alphabetically.
	USGenWeb Tombstone Project
	Free volunteer driven projects for transcribing tombstones in all 50 states. As with all volunteer projects, it is a bit hit or miss, but it is well worth a look.

	Castle Garden.org
	Before there was Ellis Island, there was Castle Garden. This free site offers access to a database of information on 11 million immigrants from 1820 through 1892, the year Ellis Island opened. Over 100 million Americans can trace their ancestors to this early immigration period.
	Ellis Island
	From 1892 to 1954, over twelve million immigrants entered the United States through the portal of Ellis Island. The Ellis Island site allows the search of passenger lists from this period and displays images of the original lists.

	Ancestry.com has indexed the New York Passenger Lists by ships arriving to New York from foreign ports from 1820 - 1957. Many images of actual passenger lists are available.

	Provides an excellent and fascinating timeline of immigration into and migration within the United States from 1786 - 2001, along with events that caused or influenced the events.

	The National Archives and Records Administrations's "Access to Archival Databases" has 4 series of passenger lists: Immigration of Russians to the United States, 1834 - 1897, Passengers Who Arrived During the Irish Famine, 1/12/1846 - 12/31/1851, Immigration of Germans to the United States, 1850 - 1897, Immigration of Italians to the United States,1855 - 1900.

You may request a Genealogy Index Search for $20, a Copy of a File on Microfilm for $20, or a Copy of a Textual File Copy - $35.
